Trombone Coaching
I offer private trombone lessons for students of all ages and abilities. Depending on student goals I will tailor our session(s) to either be more goal-/career-driven or more fun and recreational. Either way, we will work together to understand and develop the fundamentals of playing the trombone (tone production, slide control, articulation, range, intonation, flexibility, dynamic spectrum) and the fundamentals of music (reading and interpreting sheet music, rhythm and pulse, phrasing, inflection, style). Lastly, I will work with students on their mental game to develop the confidence, self-belief, and certainty to perform at their best.
Students who are driven to push their current ability level and see what they are capable of do best in private lessons. Students should expect to prepare/practice assignments for each session. Lessons are not practice sessions but a place to discover new ideas, concepts, and tools that can be applied in future private practice sessions to get better at the horn.
I offer lessons in person in the Bay Area as well as online to students anywhere in the world.

Lesson Fees
1 hour: $100
45 minutes: $75
30 minutes: $50
